Launched by François Pasquier over 27 years ago in Paris, France, Le Dîner en Blanc finally made its debut in Dallas on Thursday, September 17, 2015. Pasquier intent for the original dinner was to reconnect with old friends he had left to travel the world. Today, Le Dîner en Blanc events are happening all over the world thousands and thousands of attendees. The location of this pop-up "chic picnic," which is kept secret till the day of the event, was held on the Continental Avenue Pedestrian Bridge which runs alongside the iconic Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge just west of Downtown Dallas. 1,600+ cultural enthusiasts dressed in white from head-to-toe ate, drank and danced the night away until an amazing fireworks show that capped evening. Below is my micro-film from the evening entitled "15 Secondes en Blanc". If you're interested in checking it out for yourself, check out their website to stay informed on the latest developments on next time they are in your hood. Tchin tchin!
